Like the majority of Eileen Gray‘s tables, this one too can transform itself. And as always she found an unexpected solution. The folding section of the tabletop is supported by a single leg out of chrome-plated ubular steel – a conscious break in the otherwise perfect symmetry of the table. It is named after Eileen Gray‘s last home, Lou Perou, which she built at the age of 76 above St. Tropez. The name itself is in memory of a trip to Peru in the year 1929.
With a twist of the hand, the table extends and offers space for work documents or new guests.
