Hidden within the sculptural, monolithic appearance of the Soft Stone Sofa is a highly complex inner structure, optimised over several years of development. The aim was to create a seating experience that delivers on the visual softness through ist tactile qualities, without compromising structural integrity.
The secret lies in the layered construction on a plywood frame with classic Nosag springs. A precisely coordinated combination of different upholstery foams ensures a harmonious balance: a firmer foam at the front edge makes it easier to get up, while a layer of memory foam creates the sensation of slowly sinking into the sofa.
The finishing touch is a quilted layer of down and hollow-profile fibres, which lends the Sofa its gentle silhouette. The symbiosis of precision craftsmanship and innovative upholstery technology makes the softness of the 'stone' clearly perceptible when sitting down, while the clean lines and seams retain their shape. The sofa becomes even softer with the use of matching cushions, available in three different sizes.
